Voices Of Courage

Voices of Courage is a community event dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action against sexual assault and dating violence. The evening will begin with a clip from the powerful documentary Audrie & Daisy, highlighting the lasting impact of sexual assault. The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office will then present on dating violence, followed by a panel discussion exploring the effects of sexual assault and how, together, we can create a safer community.

Before the event, attendees can visit informational vendor booths, have a chance to grab their own shape shirt, enjoy free pizza and drinks, and connect with local resources.

Open to the public, free entry!

Kira Grifka

Kira Grifka is the Co-Founder and President of SHAPE and a senior at Chelsea High School. Outside of her work with SHAPE, she enjoys watching films, playing, and listening to music. Kira plans to complete her associate degree in Graphic Design before pursuing a major in Elementary Education.

Grace Morson

The dedicated secretary of SHAPE. When she's not organizing SHAPE's initiatives, you can find her spending time with friends and family or volunteering. Her favorite SHAPE memory? Watching Kira absolutely shine during her Citizen of the Year speech. Excited to see what’s next with Grace leading the way!

Shasta Grifka

SHAPE's Vice President, devoted mother and wife, and outdoor enthusiast. Her favorite SHAPE moment? The unforgettable surprise when Kira Grifka was named Citizen of the Year. Celebrating the joy of family, friends, and great memories!
